After her successful excursion into the series genre with ‘Deutschland ’89’ and ‘Deutsches Haus’, Randa Chahoud is now working on a feature film. Filming for the novel adaptation ‘Identitti’ began on 3 April. The novel was written by Mithu Sanyal, who was nominated for the German Book Prize.

The film will focus on the influencer Identitti, whose real name is Nivedita, who is shocked to discover that her most important role model Saraswati, a celebrated professor of postcolonial studies, is actually white.
