Here is a brief summary from the Zurich Film Festival:

‘Switzerland, 1942: hoping to make a career as a singer in Germany, poor vagabond Ernst Schrämli sells Swiss military information to a flamboyant Nazi secret agent. When this comes to nothing, he is accused – and becomes the first Swiss victim of the Second World War. Michael Krummenacher’s modern historical drama is based on true events and casts a critical spotlight on Switzerland’s ambivalent dealings with Nazi Germany. A breathtaking drama of great discursive power.’
